Taxes

In an unrealistic world, I would say no one should pay taxes, but in the real world we do have to pay taxes.  I've wondered if there is another way for getting money into the economy other then taxes.  There could always be large donations, but that would never be accountable enough to cover the debt we are in and the expenses we need to pay, so that wouldn't work.  I don't like the idea that once I get a real job, one where i'm not just paid "under the table", that I'll have to give some of my money away that I worked so hard for, that I wont be receiving ALL the money I make.  But then the money I'm giving in taxes will help me and other people, so its not like my money will just be going to waste.  Although I don't like the idea of taxes, I believe that all our money from taxes that help pay for the roads we use, schools, jobs, our representatives ect. are good causes and really couldn't  be paid for in any other way.  So although I don't really like taxes, the idea that I'll not be receiving all the money I make, I do agree that paying taxes is necessary and helps our economy and is needed.

  1. I agree that taxes are not fun, but are very necessary. The main concern that I think that all people have is how much does the government really need to take, and is it going to the "right" places. I agree that taxes should definitely go to schools, roads, and jobs, but they should also go to health care, aid for dying people in third world countries, and give jobs to unemployed.

  2. Taking money to the right places seems, to me, be what the government doesn't necessarily always do right.
